NAFDAC Warns Against Circulation of Unregistered Fair Child Soap in Nigerian Markets
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a public alert, following reports of an unregistered cosmetic product, Fair Child Soap, circulating in Lagos and elsewhere across Nigeria.

- The alert was triggered after NAFDAC’s Post-Marketing Surveillance team received information about the soap being sold in local markets.
- The product, allegedly imported by Lexmart Cosmetics Ltd, is not registered with NAFDAC and has not undergone safety or quality evaluation.

Unregistered skincare products pose significant health risks. Without proper testing, ingredients may be incorrect, contaminated, or dangerous, especially when marketed for children.

- Do not purchase or use Fair Child Soap until further verification.
