Ranbaxy Antacid

Gestid Suspension, Uses and Safety Information

Gestid Suspension is an antacid and anti-flatulent medicine that provides fast relief from symptoms caused by excess stomach acid and trapped gas. It contains three active ingredients that work together to relieve indigestion and heartburn.

  • Aluminium hydroxide neutralizes excess stomach acid, helping to relieve heartburn, acid indigestion, and stomach discomfort.
  • Magnesium hydroxide also neutralizes stomach acid. It balances the constipating effect of aluminium hydroxide, helping to maintain normal bowel movements.
  • Simethicone is an anti-flatulent that breaks down small gas bubbles in the stomach into larger ones, making them easier to pass through belching. This helps relieve bloating, excessive gas, and flatulent dyspepsia.

Together, these ingredients provide quick relief from acid-related symptoms without significantly affecting the body’s acid-base balance.
